World Bee Day celebration

Since 2017, World Bee Day has been honoured every 20 May.
This event focuses on the need to stop the loss of biodiversity and the degradation of ecosystems. It’s an opportunity to promote actions to protect and increase the number of pollinators and their habitats, and to encourage their abundance and diversity.
To rise awareness on this topic, LME Groupe Beltrame organised a biodiversity initiative for all its employees based on a game in partnership with Ekodev.
All participants won a jar of honey produced on the LME sites (where there are some beehives) as well as a kit for making a honey wax candle.
In Stahl Gerlafingen our swiss plant, we have some beehives, too in order to promote biodiversity projects.
