AFV Beltrame Group has obtained certification under the new international ISO 14068-1 standard for carbon neutrality, issued by RINA.
ISO 14068-1 represents the evolution of PAS 2060 and introduces more stringent and globally harmonized requirements, strengthening the transparency, verifiability and credibility of environmental claims while helping to counter #greenwashing.
This marks a strategic step that ensures regulatory continuity for #Chalibria, the Group’s certified carbon‑neutral steel, while consolidating the climate management model and the #decarbonization plan.
“In an increasingly demanding regulatory scenario, we believe it is essential to adopt robust and globally recognized tools that ensure reliability and certainty. ISO 14068-1 certification represents a further milestone in our climate governance journey, confirming full alignment with international standards and strengthening the credibility of our emissions measurement, reporting and verification processes,” said Raffaele Ruella, Group CFO and Managing Director of AFV Beltrame Group.
“Achieving ISO 14068-1 certification is a key step for the operational effectiveness of our carbon management processes. Alignment with the new standard strengthens our carbon neutrality claims and ensures continuity of the Group’s decarbonization plan,” concluded Andrea Costa, Group Sustainability and Decarbonization Manager.
According to Emanuele Castagno, Executive Vice President of RINA: “The ISO 14068-1 certification achieved by AFV Beltrame Group confirms the robustness of the path the Group is pursuing in carbon management and transparency of environmental claims. Their commitment is a concrete example of how decarbonization can become a strategic driver of competitiveness.”
