The so-called «Zukunftstag» is an established tradition when parents can bring their fifth- and sixth-grade school kids to their work.
This year we celebrate the 20th edition of this initiative.
Last year it had to be cancelled due to the pandemic situation.
In AFV Beltrame’s Swiss plant, 19 girls and boys took part in a unique program designed by Stahl Gerlafingens HR department.
Originally the founders invented this day to ensure that girls gain interest in their father’s work. The idea was to confront the lack of women in technical professions. After some criticism that boys would also benefit from such an occasion, the organisation opened it for both sexes.
