Market & Surroundings: 2025 Balance Sheet and Outlook for the Steel Scrap Sector

Tomorrow from 11:00 to 12:30 we will be live with siderweb at MERCATO & DINTORNI. The protagonist of the meeting will be Andrea Beltrame, who will present our group’s point of view on strategic issues for the #steel sector.

The focus will be on the results for the first ten months of 2025 for the #scrap sector in Italy, commenting on the forces that have driven the market, price trends and any surprises compared to expectations. The outlook for the end of the year will also be discussed, at a time when #steel production is slowing down but scrap continues to move, as well as the challenges that await us in 2026 with the introduction of #CBAM, assessing the indirect consequences for our sector.

Another key topic will be the recent study by the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre, which calls for continued focus on scrap quality and international flows, in light of US demand and developments in China towards more sustainable production.
