We’re opening our doors to the future: a record number of student visits to our factory

In the first six months of the year, we welcomed 280 students on visits to our plant! Record numbers! For the first time, we have also involved secondary schools, expanding the dialogue we already have with technical colleges, sixth-form colleges, universities and evening classes. This is a concrete step towards introducing young people to the world of industry from the earliest stages of their education, showcasing the opportunities, skills and complexities of the sector. “We believe that career guidance begins with first-hand experience: raising awareness of our work means investing in the future. As an industry, we see ourselves as an active part of this journey, contributing to the development of the next generation.” Leonardo Princic, Talent Attraction & HR Employer Branding Coordinator This commitment helps to overcome the stereotypes still prevalent about the steel industry, by explaining what it means to work in a modern industry today. At the same time, on certain Saturdays throughout the year, we also involve employees’ families and children through special visits: an opportunity to share our values, innovation and sense of belonging at first hand.
