World Environment Day 2021
Today is the #, which encourages worldwide awareness and action for the protection of the #environment! The theme for 2021 is “Ecosystem Restoration”, so we celebrate it welcoming new friends in LME Beltrame Group: bees and goats! According to a #biodiversity study carried out in 2019 in our french site, together with a working internal staff group, two first improvement actions were decided:
– Installation of 2 #beehives on the steelworks site, in partnership with ekodev;
– Creation of eco-grazing areas for the maintenance of green spaces with difficult access and the fight against invasive plant species, thanks to the help of goats from ditches, in partnership with the company Patureco.
This small contribution to the preservation of biodiversity, aims to positively sensitize our people and those around them too about the #sustainability issue.
