In a region where the #steel has always meant work, development and identity, L.M.E. has gone through periods of transformation, crisis and rebirth, while remaining true to its values and mission.

The company, founded in 1875 under the name ‘Maison César Sirot’, has adapted and reinvented itself throughout its history. From “Métalescaut” to the Usinor Group, from ‘Laminés Marchands Européens’ to privatisation in 1994, and finally to its integration into the Beltrame Group, the name has changed, but the strength, commitment and passion have remained intact in a continuous process of modernisation, investment and sustainability, which has made it a leader in France and a benchmark in Europe.
