Ademe visits LME

LME Groupe Beltrame would like to thank Sylvain Waserman, Chairman and CEO of ADEME, Simon Karleskind, Regional Director of ADEME Haut-de-France, and members of their teams for coming to the Trith-Saint-Léger site. We would also like to thank Herminie de Fréminville for organising this visit.

Discussions focused on the challenges of hashtag#decarbonisation in the production of steel, and in particular the importance of the historic electricity industry, which already enables the production of low-carbon and circular local recycled steel.

It was also an opportunity to talk about the investments already made, such as the new reheating furnace in place at the rolling mill, for which we received assistance from ADEME under the DECARB ind 2021 call for projects, as well as the projects planned as part of our ongoing decarbonisation strategy at the heart of the region and the constraints on their implementation.
