AFV Beltrame Group received the SMAU Innovation Award for Chalibria!

Gianmaria Zanni explained the project: ‘Our Group has launched an ambitious decarbonisation plan with the aim of reducing CO₂ emissions along the entire value chain (cradle-to-gate). As part of this journey, we worked with RINA, a certifying body, to measure our carbon footprint, certify the carbon neutrality of Chalibria steel and set concrete targets to reduce our environmental impact. We are proud that all this commitment of ours, demonstrated by the concreteness of the numbers, the investments made and planned, and the energy lavished, is beginning to receive more and more requests not only from the market but also attention and recognition such as that which we are pleased to receive here today from different players’.

The SMAU Innovation Award is a recognition dedicated to realities from different sectors, from Agrifood to Manufacturing, from Chemical to Fashion, up to administrations and local authorities that, by submitting their candidacy, share their innovation strategy so that other companies take the same path.

Innovation in the organisational, product or process model, digital transformation or open innovation: over 50 projects have been submitted.
