We were delighted to welcome representatives from Groupe R Management SA and their customers to Stahl Gerlafingen, Switzerland’s largest steel recycling plant, for an exclusive visit dedicated to exploring the role of circular steel in sustainable construction.
The event opened with remarks from Alain Creteur, who presented Stahl Gerlafingen’s commitment to the
#circulareconomy and highlighted how recycled steel contributes to reducing the environmental footprint of the construction sector. The discussion was enriched by the valuable contributions of Olivier Barbery and Cedric Nater from Vigier, who emphasized the importance of collaboration across the entire construction value chain to drive sustainable progress.
Participants then toured our production facilities, gaining a firsthand understanding of how steel scrap is transformed into high-quality reinforcing steel through a resource-efficient and circular manufacturing process.
Beyond the technical insights, the visit provided an excellent platform for exchanging perspectives, strengthening partnerships, and fostering dialogue on the future of sustainable construction.
