Duties / Responsibilities
Your responsibilities
- Carry out preventive and corrective mechanical maintenance in the Fusion Furnace sector.
- Carry out and coordinate maintenance work in accordance with safety, quality, environmental, cost, deadline and energy requirements.
- Carry out work on mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment.
- Prepare maintenance operations, manage material requirements and maintain documentation via SAP.
- Ensure that lockout procedures are followed and that installations are made safe prior to any work.
- Contribute to improving equipment reliability and the continuous improvement of installations.
- Carry out maintenance on equipment related to environmental control (fume extraction, dust removal, filtration, etc.).
A key role within the team
In the absence of the Sector Manager, you will be required to:
- Coordinate maintenance activities in the Furnace, Water Intake and Additives sectors.
- Allocate tasks within the team and monitor the progress of work.
- Ensure compliance with risk assessments and safety regulations.
- Check that parts received comply with specifications.
- Report any anomalies and help to set priorities for work.
Required qualifications
- Vocational A-level qualification or equivalent to two years’ further education in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Substantial experience in industrial mechanical maintenance.
- Knowledge of mechanics, hydraulics and pneumatics.
- Proficiency in a CMMS (SAP would be an advantage).
- Attention to detail, the ability to work independently, a team-oriented approach and a strong safety culture.
