In 2022 AFV Beltrame Group joined the Consortium Renewability, a community of renewable energy consumers, which aims to invest in the construction of generation plants from renewable sources and to provide the energy thus produced to each member. This project frees itself from the instability of energy market prices by s bearing only the industrial costs of the initiative and benefiting from energy produced from renewable sources.
AFV Beltrame Group will use the renewable energy produced by photovoltaic systems of “Renewability” present in Lazio, Abruzzo and Sicily. The share of power allocated to AFV Beltrame Group is 9 MW, which will result in an annual production of about 14 GWh. These plants are scheduled to come into operation by the end of 2023 and the beginning of 2024.
Abruzzo
The photovoltaic plants situated in Abruzzo are located in the Province of L’Aquila and have a total power of 13.33 MW. Of these, the share allocated to AFV is 4.44 MW, corresponding to an annual production of about 6,600 MWh. The plants are fixed on the ground with south orientation. The commissioning took place at the end of 2023.

The photovoltaic plants situated in Sicily are located between the provinces of Caltanisetta and Agrigento and have a total power of 3.96 MW. Of these, the share allocated to AFV is 1.32 MW, corresponding to an annual production of about 2,600 MWh. The plants are equipped with trackers in order to achieve maximum production optimization. Commissioning is planned for the first part of 2024.
